Cursive

Cursive is an amazing band that reigns from Omaha, Nebraska. In 1995 cursive was formed with the members Tim Kasher, Matt Maginn, Steve Pedersen, and Clint Schnase. In 2008 Clint was replaced by Cornbread Compton but a year later Compton was replaced by Cully Symington. Steve Pedersen was replaced by Ted Stevens in 1998. In 1998 the band broke up for just a short time and presumed their making of music in 1999. The band has released 7 full length albums. Most of their songs are about Tim's failures in life and his downsides. Along with those themes the band also pumps out hits about Atheism. This band has so many strange and amazing sounds using cellos and organs. They continue to play and produce songs to this day.

The Postal Service

The Postal Service is an electronic indie band that consists of Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tomborello. The band got its name from the way the music was made. Jimmy would make the music and send the songs to Ben through the mail and Ben would add vocals and send them back through the mail. This all started in 2001 when they remixed some songs together and decided to make more songs together. In 2003 the album "Give Up" was released and The Postal Service gained their popularity. The United States Postal Service gave the band some problems with the trade mark of the name but they came to an agreement to use their songs for advertising. In 2005 they broke up and haven't done much since despite the roumors of a new album.

Sublime

Sublime is a ska punk band from Long Beach, California. They were active from 1986 to 1996. The trio consists of Bradley Nowell (vocals/guitar), Bud Gaugh (drums), and Eric Wilson (bass). Sublime played its first gig in 1988 at a small club on 4th of July. That show was blamed for the peninsula riot (seven people arrested). In the early 90's the band started getting more recognition and started to play on tours including the Warped Tour. Tension built with Warped Tour because the band kept getting arrested for having drugs on their bus. This drug use continued in the band until Bradley Nowell died in 1996 from a herion overdose. The death of Bradley put an end to the band. Just recently in 2009 Sublime played a show with a new singer, Rome Ramirez. There is also rumor that in 2010 there will be a new Sublime cd released. Sublime has put out 3 full length studio albums and have much more music out there that people have collected. Sublime is an awesome band with a very unique stylen that radiates happiness.

The Chemical Brothers

The Chemical Brothers consists of Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands. They were born and raised in London and have been interested in music their whole lives. They have been active as The Chemical Brothers since 1992. Their music ranges across all genres of electronic sounding music. When I listen to their music every song sounds like a whole different band. The band has put out 6 different albums in their years. They have become very popular among the rave and club scene with their crazy electronic beats. They are a very interesting and talented duo.
