BRIGHT EYES

Bright Eyes is an indie folk band that has been active since 1995. The band is led by the musical genius Conor Oberst. The line up behind Conor (vocals/guitar) changes very frequently. At first Conor made the first album on his own using drum machines. The reaction to the first album was negative because listeners did not like the rawness of his sound and vocals. After listeners aquired the taste for his bleating voice he was an underground hit. Listeners really took notice when in 1998 Bright Eyes realeased "Letting Off the Happiness" on Saddle Creek records. Bright Eyes have realesed 7 full length studio albums but they have many songs not on any album that float around. Bright Eyes is rollercoaster of Conor's life in song. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was 12 years old. They are a great band with a very different sound that everyone should give a listen to.
